Meet our new Regional Liaisons

In 2017 we introduced our new regional specialist roles at Dance4Life. After much consideration regarding our in-country representation, we chose to work with experts from the health and youth sector who bring extensive knowledge of the regional SRH landscape and gaps that we can address with our Youth Empowerment Model.

Anushree has been engaged in improving access of marginalized groups to HIV/AIDS, TB and reproductive health services in the field, policy, and international level. Originally from Delhi, she has extensive experience working in South Asia (India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh); Africa (Zambia, Uganda, South Africa, Senegal, DRC, Burundi), and the Caribbean (Jamaica, Haiti). Throughout her career, she has focused using innovative communication methodologies to empower and amplify the voices of young people specifically those out of school. She has conducted numerous workshops with young people across India on HIV/AIDS, sex and sexuality. The information gathered in the work with young people helped her in advocacy, development of guidelines and development of the first module to introduce HIV/AIDS education in schools in India in the late 90s.
